Executive Summit: Hyderabad, India

IBR Institute of International Business Relations (India) invited on July 12th, 2008 Hyderabad based CEOs and Executives of the Top Management of the Corporate Orbit to get inspired by distinguished speakers on how to successfully win global competition.

Professor Prabhu Guptara is the Director Executive of the UBS Think Tank in Wolfsberg, Switzerland. Professor Guptara challenged the audience with thought provoking insight into how to sustain competitive advantages in a globalisation in the light of a slowdown of the economy in the industrialised countries and increasing inflation worldwide. He did not only based his talk on think-tank input with which he would feed decision makers in the world largest bank. He also got inspired by interaction with academics at renowned educational institutions such as INSEAD, IMD and Rotterdam School of Management in Europe where he serves as visiting professor or the Wharton School of Business and the MIT in the US.

Mr Yehezkel Daskal, Director General of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce outlined lessons on how the Israeli economy managed to achieve a leading position among the exporting nations in the world. Israel has the largest number of start-up companies in the world in proportion to its population. These start-ups contribute to about 35% of the growth in the information/ communication technology and software fields in the country - the main contributors to the high-tech industry. Israel serves as an outstanding example of how to effectively use globalisation as the local market is too small for businesses to grow.

Dr BVR Mohan Reddy, presently Chairman CII – Southern Region and an outstanding Entrepreneur in IT and Engineering sector, spoke on the Indian experience of sustaining Competitive advantage in Global Markets. Dr Mohan Reddy, CMD of Infotech Enterprises is the recipient of several awards for his outstanding contribution to Industry and believes in "walk the talk" as an essential quality to be an outstanding leader.

Dr. Andreas Kelling, founder and Director of IBR offered insight into how the NEW GENERATION of executive education assists businesses in order to manage global competition successfully. In this new generation, management education would be no longer assessed by academic institutions, but by the employers of its graduates. Being the Programme Director of an MBA that has been accredited best by the German, Swiss and Austrian industries, no one was in a better position to inspire the audience with first hand information.
