Steinbeis University Berlin (SHB) was established in 1998 by the Steinbeis Foundation, which is of the largest industry foundations in Germany. About 1000 professors work for the university in 810 Steinbeis institutes with a total annual turn-over of more than 150 Million Euro.
Steinbeis University Berlin is the largest post graduate university in Germany with 6700 students, and obtained German state recognition through the Government of Berlin. Steinbeis University offers exclusively post-graduate studies on bachelor, master and doctorate levels.
All study programmes have a common foundation, namely the "project competence concept". Based on this concept, the university sets innovative national and international standards by transferring applied scientific know-how from a practical perspective to the benefit of the industries it serves.
