Bernie VAN ZIJL

Dr van Zijl has a broad range of experience in the management and training community in SA. He studied BA (Anthropology and Africa Studies), BTh and Licentiate in Theology at the University of Stellenbosch following this with a MTh at UNISA (University of South Africa), studying the using of art genres to promote communication within faith based organizations. He completed a DTh at UNISA, doing a comparative study between the communication processes of proclamation and advertising. He completed a MBL (Masters in Business Leadership) at UNISA, specializing in "Branding, a key to marketing leisurewear to teenagers", with a large scale research project with kids and teenagers in SA.

Bernie is the founder of Xtreme Agency (Pty) Ltd, a consultancy that assisted a variety of organizations in the fields of specialist training pertaining to leadership and marketing. He is a sought after speaker with numerous radio/television talks to his credit. He facilitates business subjects for MBA and other postgraduate management programmes, specializing in Marketing, e-Commerce, Leadership and Management of Technology. He is presently the Director Business Development for the University of Stellenbosch Business School Executive Development.
