Cross cultural management:
Theoretical material given in the “Cross-cultural management” course allowed me to understand better the background for sometimes unexpected behaviour of representatives of different cultures. A number of well-selected practical examples acquainted me with the experience of many people, which is difficult to overestimate. And finally, it gave me the possibility to be more efficient and successful in international business.
To confirm the last statement and show the first benefit from my studying this course I just want to say that our account officer, hero of the first case, has already appreciated my recommendations and is now correcting her relations development strategy towards mentioned Japanese prospect-client.

I would like to admit that after having studied the course of Cross-Cultural Management I will certainly behave in different manner rather then before of this course. Now I know that how to prepare my meetings with an US business man or with a German guy both coming from DF countries or with a partner from UAE or Tanzania where making relations or being introduced by some one with high respect in society is very important to start/establish the business. With Italians emotions are important whereas with Indians be care full in preparing the menu since they venerate Cow, to be precise are mostly vegetarians.
This course has helped me in systemizing my knowledge of cross culture and will definitely help me in this globalize business world. Now while preparing the trip to a particular country, I will implement the knowledge pursuant to this country I have received in this course.

The Course on Cross-Cultural Management provided for me an excellent opportunity to summarize and systematize some bit and pieces of intuitive knowledge on the subject I learnt from experience. The most important conclusion drawn on the basis of the Course is that unawareness of cross-cultural differences is no excuse for a failure of negotiations or business relations. The cultures are neither "better" nor "worse", nor superior or inferior. They are just different and have equal rights for existence. We have to keep this in mind, while dealing with the partners from abroad.
As far as the Institution I am working for is concerned, I have already discussed with the Head of our Resident Representative office the need to upgrade the awareness of cultural differences between the representatives of "Western" culture and their Ukrainian counterparts for the members of visiting missions from Headquarters in order to increase the efficiency of their negotiations with the Ukrainian Government. The advice was highly appreciated.

As for me I have received unforgettable satisfaction while studying this interesting course that gave me total understanding of cross-cultural differences. I am sure that after this I will be more attentive and intent in conducting the negotiations with my old foreign partner and with any new ones. I'll be using models created by myself during negotiation process and on the stage of making a deal.

Introduction to international business law:
Study of this material allowed realizing all the importance and necessity of similar regulation and also those consequences that can arise in the absence there of such legal and civil tools as CISG. The CISG itself is a very interesting and useful document. I am sure that the information I got during studying this course, especially from CISG, will be very useful for me in my future negotiations, after it has given initial understanding of some statements of business law.
Assignment was built very interesting and consequently, for example, during comparison of arguments of the both of parties and then selection the corresponding articles from CISG I saw the situation like from within. It was very useful and now I can predict a lot of questions that may be in future practice.
This course also confirmed that it is impossible to foresee all situations in business negotiations, but all responsible persons who are engaged in signing of sales contract should be more attentive during all this very important process.

My learning from this course is tremendous and after having worked for more then 11 years in international business, first time came across with CISG and find it beneficial for my company. Usually contract are signed by me in Ukraine, on behalf of my company in India. During secondary reading of this course I have signed an international contract with an Ukrainian importer and feel confident that if any dispute comes up my contract is well prepared as per CISG and in contract there is clear reference to particular parts of CISG.
