Quality and Supply Chain Management
It was quite interesting to study the Course on Quality and Supply chain management. Now I know that it is very important to organize the supply chain management in the way that the customer satisfaction is obtained along the entire supply chain. After analyzing supply chain of Paroc, I began better understand reasons of some problems and ways for their improvements. Knowledge gained from this course will help me in my future work to be prepared for defining problems along supply chain system and then to solve them using tools for continuous improvement.

In my work I analyzed current state of the supply chain of Altadis-Ukraine with help of the techniques such as benchmarking and fishbone chart. The proposals which where elaborated in my work can be divided into two groups: organizational and supportive. Organizational elements such as management, communication and IT provide the company with the system which increases competitiveness of a company while supportive elements including transport and inventory increase efficiency of the operations.
The course quality and supply chain management gave me knowledge about operational process analysis, the stages of supply chain and role of IT in supply chain management. The application of the theory into practice in my assignment helped me to generate valuable ideas which will help me in my work.

Introduction to operations management:
Very practical and useful subject! Both cases presented above may be a basis for starting thinking about quality in these particular organisations. Since the first case is a case about my bank (Raiffeisen Ukraine) and second is a company (a client of ours), I hope it will not go to nowhere, and will be offered to the management as independent research that will help to improve quality of our services

Inventory Management
Knowledge of the inventory management techniques provided me with knowledge of how to manage inventory. In my work I developed the solutions which will help my company to increase efficiency of the inventory operations. In particular I calculated the optimal amount of order which will help the company to reduce cost of inventory and increase efficiency of order processing simultaneously. In addition to that I developed the MRP application aimed to unite information flows and thus to reduce time spend on order processing. Following development of ERP will help the company to integrate logistics and production into the one system which will help to avoid complicated and time consuming procedure of order processing and submission. Taking into account readiness of the importer to share information on sales and shipments it will provide the company with access to their data.
Most possible solutions to the existing problems were developed in the past so in some cases there is no need to spend time for the development of new ones. On the other hand market is changing so quickly that new management techniques can evolve with time. They probably will unite not only manufacturers, suppliers and traders but will involve final consumers based on real time proposals and tailor made solutions.
